A brave member of the JCB team, Georgina Williams and Midlands JCB Sales Director Al Reekie, have taken part in an aquatic challenge called Making a Splash for NSPCC.

Georgina has committed to taking the plunge daily for ten charity swims in various locations throughout the UK, joining forces with dealers at each location to raise funds for the children's charity NSPCC, a crucial child protection charity.

Georgina dived into her 4th cold water challenge at Dosthill Quarry yesterday, in Tamworth, Midlands, joined by Sales Director Al Reekie. The quarry is an excellent outdoor diving, snorkelling, and swimming location. Despite the 9°C water temperature and 6°C air temperature, the pair braved a couple of laps around the quarry, and they were joined by enthusiastic regulars who supported their efforts.

Reekie expressed his admiration for Georgina's determination, saying, "Georgina's spirit to challenge herself and raise money for such an essential cause inspires us all. She is an excellent example of the values that JCB represents."

Over the next two years, JCB is committed to raising 2 million pounds for the NSPCC by launching the 40th anniversary JCB/NSPCC appeal. Over the last 40 years, JCB has donated over £5 million to the NSPCC, which was raised through various charity events, including bike rides, lotteries, concerts, raffles, and other sponsored events.

Along the way, Georgina has also asked JCB Customers to support her efforts by sponsoring each day and showing up with a Backhoe Loader. Yesterday, long-term JCB customer and Midlands JCB customer Savage Plant Hire Ltd attended the event at Dosthill Quarry with a spotless new JCB 3CX Stage V machine. Al Reekie said thank you very much to Savage Plant Hire for Sponsoring the event, "Without our customers, we couldn't do what we do! Their generosity and support are fantastic."
